Social Circuit

Want a fun reason to golf with friends or make some new ones?

Our Social Circuit incentivizes guys and girls to get together on the course for a great time. Ideal for friends and couples or utilize our chat forums & random pairing option if you want to meet some new people (and maybe a significant other). There's still a touch of friendly competition, but it's more about just getting out there and playing.

What's the goal?

Have a blast w/ friends & connect w/ other guys & girls! Ohh and also try to have the most points at season's end in October.

How does it work?

1.

Earn points each month just by playing 9-holes with 3 other members on your own time. Your score doesn't matter.

2.

Rack up more points at our low-pressure, mixed scrambles every month. Double points at 2 Majors!

3.

Whichever 2 guys & 2 girls have the most points after our October finals will be our season-long champs!

Our 4 season-long champs will be taking home the grand prize & prizes will also be awarded to the runners up & in-person event winners.

2025 Monthly Play Course Schedule

Collect points just by playing 9 holes at 1 of these designated courses each month with 3 other members.

  • Is it too late to join?
Nope. Because your season point total just determines your starting position within your handicap tier in the Tour Championship, it's totally fine if you miss some months or can't make in-person events. But the earlier you join, the more points you can rack up! Also, our Major in August & the monthly play in September are both double points, so a good chance to play catch-up on the leaderboard later in the year. You must have submitted at least two monthly rounds on your own time to be eligible for the Tour Championship so the latest month you could join and still have a shot at winning the Tour is August.
  • What are the handicap tiers?
A: 0 - 6.9 B: 7 - 13.9 C: 14 - 20.9 D: 21-27.9 E: 28+ The maximum playing handicap is 36. This does not mean you cannot compete if your handicap is above 36, it just means the maximum strokes you would be given in an event is 36. For example, someone who has a handicap of 39 will have a playing handicap of 36.
  • What if I don't have an established handicap yet?
Not a problem! If you purchase one of our membership plans with a GHIN we will get you an official handicap ($65 value). When it comes to playing, our scoring software will utilize the System 36 scoring until your handicap is established within the GHIN system. This allows you to still play in our events and earn points while your handicap is being established.
  • Do you have a money-back guarantee?
Yup! Try it for 60 days and if this isn't the laid back community of golfers or friendly competition you were looking for, we'll send you your money back. *Must have completed at least one monthly round to qualify*
  • What if I need a member to play with each month?
You can play with friends that are members, utilize our community chat forums to find playing partners for each month, or choose to be selectively paired with other likeminded members with similar schedules. If you choose to get paired, we will put you in contact with the player you are matched with and you can then coordinate the time and course to play.
  • What are the prizes?
The season-long champs for each handicap division will win the grand prize, which has a minimum value of $300. The grand prize package is still currently being put together for the 2025 season but in the past has included things like custom FootJoys, free rounds at premier courses, brand new clubs, and stay and plays. All of our tee time events will have small prize packages consisting of SwingPass merch and our Major will have a larger, sponsored prize package.
  • How does the points system work?
More points going into the Tour Championship = Better starting position In-Person Team Events (Doubled for Major) 1st place group: 50 points to all four people 2nd place group: 40 points to all four people 3rd place group: 30 points to all four people Everyone else: 10 points for participating Monthly Individual Play 1st: 50. 2nd: 48. 3rd: 46. 4th: 44 5th: 42. 6th: 40. 7th: 38. 8th: 36 9th: 34. 10th: 32. 11th: 30. 12th: 28 Everyone else: 10 points for participating __________________ By having similar point totals up for grabs in our in-person events & monthly play on your own time, it allows people with busy schedules to still compete. Also, your season-long point total just determines your starting position in the Tour Championship. The maximum starting lead you can have is 5 strokes. This is to make sure people who have been doing well all year have a significant advantage, but doesn't make it impossible for people who joined late to compete. And just remember, you are only competing against others in your handicap tier.
  • How does the Tour Championship work?
The entire season is building towards the grand finale in October. This will be an individual net stroke outing to crown the champion in all 5 different handicap tiers. Your point total during the season will determine your starting position within your handicap tier in the Tour Championship. The more points you have, the greater your starting lead. The maximum starting lead you can have is 5 strokes. This is to make sure people who have been doing well all year have a significant advantage, but doesn't make it impossible for people who joined late to compete. You must have submitted at least two monthly rounds on your own time to be eligible for the Tour Championship so the latest month you could join and still have a shot at winning the Tour is August.
  • What if I can't make the Tour Championship?
Although we want as many people at the Tour Championship so that it's as hype as possible, we understand life happens and you might not be able to make it but still want a chance to win your handicap tier. That is why we are allowing members to play with 3 other members at the Tour Championship course between 10/4 and 10/25. We are requiring you to play with 3 other members in order to ensure fairness during the individual competition. We will pair you with your playing partners, you cannot just play with your 3 buddies to ensure fairness. We understand this is not a perfect solution, but we don't want people who have competed all season to miss their shot at winning just because of a scheduling conflict. I hope you understand considering this is not the PGA Tour.
  • Do I have to pay for the events and on my own each month?
Yes. Our membership gets you access to the season-long tournament, access to our private online community, and member perks but it does not cover green fees when you go to play on your own each month as part of the tour. The membership also does not cover green fees to play in our in-person events, but a premium plan will save you $20 each event so that is the most bang for your buck if you plan to play in 3+ events.
  • What if I can't make every event?
Not a problem! The month-long competitions allow for people to continue racking up points even if they can't make our in-person events. If you did have to mark any events on your calendar though, I would mark the Major on 8/8 because that is when double points are up for grabs.
  • What is a GHIN handicap?
A GHIN (Golf Handicap & Information Network) handicap is a numerical measure of a golfer's ability, or potential ability, provided by the USGA, used to enable players of different skill levels to compete fairly, and is accessed through the GHIN system. We are able to provide you with discounted access to one if you purchase a plan with a GHIN. Typically they are $65 to get on your own.
  • How do I submit my scores each month?
At the beginning of each month you will be required to register for our month-long event. When you go to play at one of the designated courses that month with another member you will be able to choose the course you're playing in our scoring system. You then will simply enter your hole-by-hole score and our system will automatically calculate your net score on that course and show where you stand on the month-long leaderboard for your handicap division.
  • How do you score across different courses?
Our scoring system is able to take into account different course's difficulty and playing conditions to create your playing handicap and one leaderboard. So if you play the harder course that month, you will have more strokes than an equivalent handicap player playing the easier course that month. We understand this is not a perfect system, but we want to allow people in all different areas around Boston to be part of this.
  • What formats will you do?
All of the month-long events will be individual formats such as net stroke or stableford. All of the monthly in-person events will be team based. This will consist of 2-4 person scrambles and best ball competitions. In our opinion, there is nothing better than a four person scramble with your friends but playing your own ball and working to get better is also important to us. That's why we decided on individual play on your own and team play at all of our in-person events.
  • What is the member chat forum?
When you sign up for a membership you will have the option to be added to the "Classic Tour" chat forum. This is a place where members can easily find others to play with for the month long competitions on your time or just in general. You can also utilize this chat for all other things golf such as talking courses, selling/exchanging clubs & gear, trip destinations, etc. You are by no means required to be in or active in the chat forum, but it is a great way for people to connect and find other like-minded players.
  • What if my handicap changes and puts me into a different tier?
Inevitably your handicap will be fluctuating throughout the year and it may bump you up or drop you into a new handicap tier. That is totally fine because we will re-group tiers at the beginning of every month so whatever your handicap is at the beginning of the month determines the tier you will be playing in that month. Your points are cumulative throughout the year and whatever handicap tier you're in for the finals will be where you compete and your cumulative points from the year will determine your starting position within that tier. For example, let's pretend my handicap all year has been in the 7.3-7.9 range so I've been competing in the B tier and have racked up 270 points. I then play really well in September and my updated handicap on 10/1 is now a 6.8. This means that for our finals in October I would compete in the A tier, but I would retain my 270 points to determine my starting position within the A tier.
